July in the Tri-Cities means long days, bright sunshine, and yes… intense heat! As temperatures climb, it’s important to stay cool and protect both your family and your home.

At Momentum Real Estate Group, we know that summer is one of the most active times for buying, selling, and moving—but it’s also when the heat can sneak up on you. Here are a few ways to stay safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient this month:

1. Stay Hydrated
It sounds simple, but drinking enough water makes a big difference. Keep water bottles handy, especially when you’re out touring homes or working on outdoor projects.

2. Keep Your Home Cool
Close curtains or blinds during the hottest part of the day
Use ceiling fans to circulate air
Set your thermostat a few degrees higher when you're not home to save on energy bills
Check your HVAC filters—dirty filters make your system work harder

3. Outdoor Work? Schedule Smart
If you’re tackling yardwork or moving boxes in and out of the house, try to do it early in the morning or later in the evening. The midday sun is no joke!

4. Check on Neighbors and Pets
Heat can be especially hard on older adults, young children, and pets. Take a minute to check in on neighbors and make sure pets have plenty of shade and water if they’re outdoors.

5. House Hunting or Moving? Plan Breaks!
If you're in the middle of buying, selling, or moving, take extra water breaks and don’t overdo it. We’re here to help make the process smooth—heat waves included.

From everyone at Momentum Real Estate Group, stay cool, stay hydrated, and if you’re thinking about making a move—reach out anytime. We’ll help you navigate both the market and the summer heat! ☀️🏡
